Hong Kong Listing Reveals Global Vivo X500 Pro Max With Bigger Battery and Lower Price Than EU
A Hong Kong retail listing has revealed a Vivo X500 Pro Max global model that carries a larger battery and a lower price than the version expected in Europe. The listing, spotted on Wondamobile, shows the 12/512 GB configuration at €1,604 (about US$1,789) with a 7,800 mAh battery — a figure that sits closer to the Chinese model than the EU variant.
Battery capacities diverge by region

The battery numbers tell the clearest story. According to leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore on X, the EU version of the Vivo X500 Pro Max will ship with a 6,750 mAh cell. Reports from China put that model at 8,000 mAh. The Hong Kong global listing lands between them at 7,800 mAh, matching the rated capacity associated with the Chinese model.
That gap is not unique to Vivo. Chinese flagship phones often carry larger batteries than their EU counterparts, and the reductions have been linked to government transport regulations. For buyers, the practical result is a global model that offers noticeably more capacity than the official European release.
Pricing narrows after EU discount
At €1,604, the Hong Kong listing undercuts the reported EU price of €1,799 (US$2,021) by €195 before any promotion. A €120 launch discount mentioned for the EU model would bring that figure down, shrinking the difference but not eliminating it. The Hong Kong price also compares favourably with the Chinese model, though import costs and taxes can vary.
Trinity Electronics, another retailer offering the global model, charges slightly less than Wondamobile, but its listed price may exclude taxes. AverageDad also lists the device, giving buyers multiple potential sources.
Features and trade-offs
The global model includes eSIM and Wear OS support, two features that are not available on China-only imports. It also comes in an orange colour that is not offered in the EU. Those additions make the Hong Kong version more appealing to users who want a fully featured device without the limitations of a Chinese ROM.
Importing carries drawbacks. The global model lacks several US LTE bands, including 12, 13, 71 and n71, which could affect compatibility with some American networks. Warranty coverage is also more limited than buying through official EU channels.
Timing and availability
Hong Kong models are listed to ship in late October 2026, roughly in line with the expected EU launch. With no official Vivo Hong Kong specification sheet yet available, the listed battery capacity and other details remain unconfirmed by the manufacturer. Buyers considering the import route may want to wait for official confirmation before ordering.
