Casio’s Tiny Ring Watch and Vintage-Style AQ-240 Earn 2026 Good Design Awards

Casio has added two more honors to its product lineup: the Classic AQ-240 and the G-Shock Nano DWN-5600 Ring Watch both received Casio Good Design Awards 2026 recognition. The winners were announced in mid-October 2026, and the two timepieces were joined by two non-watch Casio products, the Dimension Shifter DN-SE10 and the Sampler SXC-1.

Classic AQ-240: Analog hands, digital readout, and nine colorways

The AQ-240 first appeared in October 2025 with three variants, each combining gold or silver resin casing and straps with different dial colors. Since that debut, Casio has introduced six additional colorways, bringing the total to nine. The newest additions are the AQ-240EG-3A, AQ-240E-1A, and AQ-240E-2A2.

Its design pairs two analog hands with a slim digital display that shows the date and day of the week. In the United States, pricing starts around $70. One variant, the AQ240E-4A, was listed at $69.95 on Amazon Marketplace.

G-Shock Nano DWN-5600: A ring-sized digital watch

The second winning watch is the G-Shock Nano DWN-5600, officially unveiled in late 2025. It is a miniature version of a classic digital watch, measuring just 23.4 x 20.0 x 7.5 mm. Despite its size, it displays hours, minutes, and seconds, and includes a calendar function, stopwatch, and LED backlight.

The DWN-5600 is described as a Ring Watch, packing familiar digital watch functions into a form factor small enough to wear on a finger.

Two other Casio products recognized

Casio’s 2026 award recognition was not limited to watches. The Dimension Shifter DN-SE10 is a guitar strap accessory with an integrated controller, while the Sampler SXC-1 is a 16-pad device with 208 sound sources. Both received 2026 Good Design Awards, showing Casio’s reach across product categories.
