Apple and Nvidia Lead Corporate Donors to White House Ballroom With $25 Million Each

The Apple White House ballroom donation has put the tech giant at the top of a growing list of corporate contributors to President Donald Trump’s proposed White House ballroom. Apple pledged $25 million, a sum matched by Nvidia, according to a donor list obtained by The Washington Post. The two companies stand as the largest known private backers of the project.

A $333 Million Private Fund

All told, private donations have reached $333 million. The donor list also includes Microsoft, Comcast, Amazon, Cisco, Meta, T-Mobile, HP, Google, Palantir, Salesforce and Micron. Google’s contribution came from a lawsuit settlement, though the full terms of that arrangement have not been disclosed. Some companies have paid their pledges in full; others are paying in installments.

The White House has not publicly released any donation amounts, leaving the leaked list as the primary source of information on who is funding the construction. The administration collects the money through a nonprofit, and the funds are then moved into a White House account controlled by Trump. That structure bypasses the public disclosure and campaign finance rules that normally apply to political giving.

Cost Estimates and Taxpayer Share

A contractor estimate from June put the ballroom’s cost at around $600 million. More than half of that estimated expense would come from taxpayer funds, according to the brief. The final cost has not been released, and it remains unclear whether all pledged donations have been collected.

Trump has described the ballroom as approximately 90,000 square feet and capable of seating 1,000 guests. To make way for construction, the White House East Wing was demolished.

White House Response to the Leak

A White House spokesperson said the administration will pursue those responsible for leaking the donor list. The statement did not address the donation amounts or the project’s financing.

For now, the full of the ballroom’s funding remains incomplete. The final cost, the exact amounts from most donors, and a construction timeline are all unknown. What is clear is that Apple and Nvidia have each committed $25 million, and that the project’s private funding has reached $333 million — a figure that may grow as more installments are paid.
