Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe 15AKP12 Goes Global with AMD Ryzen AI 5 330 and a 16.8-Hour Battery Claim

Lenovo has expanded international availability of the Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe 15AKP12, a 15-inch laptop built around AMD’s Ryzen AI 5 330 processor. The machine is now released across Oceania, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and North America, with confirmed availability in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, and the United States. US pricing starts at $799.

Lenovo’s regional websites list the laptop at AUD 1,829 in Australia, CAD 1,099 in Canada, HKD 8,949 in Hong Kong, and SGD 1,570 in Singapore. The US starting price of $799 applies to the base configuration. The company detailed the product at the end of September before confirming the wider rollout.

Processor and benchmark positioning

The Ryzen AI 5 330 is a Krackan Point 2 chip. In benchmark testing, its CPU performance trails the IdeaPad Vibe 15AGP12 by 6% but leads the IdeaPad Vibe 15Q8X12 by 33%. Those sibling models use different platforms: the 15AGP12 runs a Ryzen AI 5 430, while the 15Q8X12 relies on a Snapdragon X X1-26-100. GPU results place the Ryzen AI 5 330 at the bottom of the three compared models, making graphics the weakest area for this configuration.

Display and battery

The 15-inch IPS screen offers 1200p resolution, 400 nits of peak brightness, and a 60 Hz refresh rate. Colour coverage is listed at 45% NTSC, a modest figure that suggests the panel is aimed at everyday use rather than colour-sensitive work. A 50 Wh battery powers the system, and Lenovo claims more than 16 hours of runtime, specifically up to 16.8 hours during 1080p local video playback. Real-world battery life will vary with workload.

Configuration differences by market

US buyers can choose between 8 GB and 16 GB of RAM, paired with a 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB SSD. Some non-US markets offer 24 GB and 32 GB memory options, though Lenovo has not indicated whether those higher tiers will reach the United States. Build materials also vary: certain regions receive a plastic base plate, while others get aluminium. The laptop includes a built-in number pad.

One of three Vibe 15 models

The 15AKP12 sits alongside the 15AGP12 and 15Q8X12 in Lenovo’s IdeaPad Vibe 15 lineup. Buyers weighing the three will find the AMD-based 15AKP12 positioned between its siblings on CPU performance, with the Snapdragon model trailing and the Ryzen AI 5 430 model leading. Graphics performance is the clear trade-off for the 15AKP12.
