Apple Plans Two-Day Los Angeles Showcase for October 2026, With New Macs and iPad Mini Expected
Apple October 2026 event — Apple is preparing a two-day product showcase in Los Angeles on October 27 and 28, 2026. The gathering is not a traditional Apple Event with a live stream. Instead, it is being described as a set of experiences for content creators, according to reporting by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg.
The format marks a departure from the company’s usual launch approach. Rather than a single keynote broadcast to the public, the Los Angeles showcase is designed around hands-on sessions for invited creators. A similar event is planned for New York on Tuesday, October 13.
Four products expected on or around October 27

Gurman reports that four products are expected to be announced on or around October 27. The list includes a 14-inch MacBook Pro, a 16-inch MacBook Pro, a 24-inch iMac and an iPad mini 8.
The MacBook Pro models are expected to bring several changes. They are said to feature OLED displays, touchscreen support, M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, a Dynamic Island and a lighter design. Cellular connectivity may also be included, possibly through a C1X or C2 modem. The 14-inch model is also expected to offer an M6 chip option.
The 24-inch iMac is expected to move to an M6 chip and add new color options. The iPad mini 8 is said to include an OLED display, an A20 Pro chip, a landscape front camera, a redesigned speaker system and a water-resistant design.
Mac Studio timing and October 13 preview
Apple has already announced a Mac Studio with 512GB of RAM for late October. That machine is expected to arrive alongside the other products.
The October 13 event in New York is expected to focus on smart home and entertainment hardware. Apple is likely to unveil a HomeView smart home hub, a HomePod mini 2 and an updated Apple TV 4K.
Gurman has said the October 27-28 showcase will likely be Apple’s final major launch in 2026. Pricing, full specifications and exact release dates beyond late October have not been announced. It also remains unclear whether the event will be streamed or recorded for public viewing.
