Xiaomi’s New 5000mAh Magnetic Power Bank Adds Speed and a Safety Certification
Xiaomi has introduced a revised version of its 5000mAh Jinshajiang Ultra-thin Magnetic Power Bank in China, and the changes are concentrated in two areas: charging speed and safety certification. The Xiaomi Jinshajiang Ultra-thin Magnetic Power Bank 5000mAh now sells for 299 yuan, roughly $44.55, and is available in the Chinese market.
Thin, light, and built around a silicon-carbon cell

The new model measures 6.75 mm thick and weighs 105 g. That makes it slightly thicker than the earlier 5000 mAh UltraThin model, which was 6 mm thick. Xiaomi continues to use a silicon-carbon battery in the Jinshajiang line, a chemistry associated with high energy density in the company’s power bank range.
Magnetic attachment remains central to the design. The pack snaps onto the back of a compatible phone, allowing wireless charging without a cable.
Faster wireless and wired charging
Wireless output has risen from 15W to 20W. Wired charging through USB-C has moved from 22.5W to 27W. Those figures apply to the pack’s own capabilities, though the experience varies by device: iPhones are limited to 7.5W wireless charging with this accessory.
The charging upgrades are the clearest functional difference from the previous generation. The added thickness of 0.75 mm accompanies them.
Compatibility across Xiaomi, Apple, and Android phones
Xiaomi lists support for its Xiaomi 17 and 18 series, recent iPhones, and Android devices such as the Google Pixel 11 series. The magnetic connection is what enables wireless charging on phones that support it.
Safety standard and color options
Xiaomi states that the power bank complies with the GB 47372-2026 safety standard, which the company says includes stricter requirements aimed at reducing fire and explosion risk.
Three finishes are offered: silver, black, and burgundy. The burgundy shade is matched to the Xiaomi 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro.
China availability, global launch unclear
The new model is on sale now in China. Xiaomi has not announced a global launch date or international pricing. The previous 5000 mAh model was sold outside China, including in the UK, so the absence of a global plan for this version leaves its wider availability uncertain.
The launch comes less than two weeks after Xiaomi released a 10,000 mAh Jinshajiang power bank, showing the company is refreshing the line quickly.
