Citizen Brings Promaster Air Automatic to the UK at £599, Undercutting US and Canada
Citizen has added the Promaster Air Automatic to its UK range, pricing both references at £599 and making Britain the cheapest of the three markets where the pilot watch is now sold. The Citizen Promaster Air Automatic UK price covers 20% VAT, leaving an ex-VAT figure of about £499, or roughly $666.
Two dials, one specification

The UK listings cover the blue NK0040-58L and the champagne NK0040-58P. Citizen UK shows both as new arrivals. Beyond dial colour, the watches are identical: each uses a 40 mm Super Titanium case, a surface-hardened form of titanium that also appears in the matching bracelet.
Both dials carry a sunray finish, applied luminous markers, and oversized numerals at 12 and 6. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating sits over the face, and the watch is rated to 200 metres of water resistance.
Pilot tooling and movement
The outer bezel is a rotating slide rule, a feature rooted in the calculations pilots once performed in the air. The bracelet closes with a fold-over clasp that includes a hidden push button.
Inside is an automatic movement with a 60-hour power reserve, hacking seconds, and a date display. Citizen names the caliber 8310 in North America and the 8314 in Europe, though the published movement specifications are the same across regions.
How the three markets compare
The UK price sits well below the other two. In the United States, the blue model is priced at $895 before sales tax. Canada lists the champagne model at CA$1,195, about $840. Against the US figure, the UK cost is roughly $229 lower — a discount of about a quarter. That comparison depends on the US price excluding tax while the UK price includes VAT, but the gap remains substantial even after accounting for the difference.
The pair has been available elsewhere for only a few weeks. The blue model reached the US at the end of September 2026, and the champagne model appeared on Citizen Canada one day later. The UK listing followed as the third market. Citizen has not specified the exact UK listing date.
Some prices remain unpublished: the US champagne model and the Canada blue model have not been confirmed. Whether the US price includes duties is also unclear, as is any future availability in other markets, limited edition status, or production quantities.
