Acer Adds Ryzen 7 8745H Option to Swift Go Mini PC Line in China

Acer has introduced a new configuration of its Swift Go mini PC in China, swapping the previous Intel N150 processor for an AMD Ryzen 7 8745H. The Acer Swift Go Ryzen 7 8745H mini PC is priced at 4,999 yuan, or roughly $700, and is sold mainly through Chinese retailers such as JD. The launch brings a substantial performance jump to a compact chassis that Acer already sells in the region.

What the Ryzen 7 8745H brings

The 8745H is an 8-core, 16-thread Zen 4 processor with Radeon 780M integrated graphics. Acer pairs it with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD in the base configuration. That combination positions the Ryzen model well above the Intel version for multicore workloads and graphics-intensive tasks. Acer describes the Ryzen version as suited to light gaming and creative work, while the earlier N150 model was aimed at office work, media playback, and light server duties.

Expansion and connectivity

Upgrade options are unusually generous for a 0.7-liter machine. Two DDR5 slots accept up to 2×32 GB at 5600 MHz, and two M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots are available for storage. Networking includes dual 2.5 GbE ports, WiFi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. The front panel houses two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, one USB-C port, and an audio jack. On the rear, Acer provides USB 2.0, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and a Kensington lock slot. The USB-C port supports 10 Gbps data and 5V/3A power output. Acer states the device supports 4K output via HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB-C.

Size, mounting, and price context

The chassis measures 130 x 127 x 47 mm and weighs about 0.5 kg. It supports wall mounting, which helps in tight setups. The Ryzen configuration costs nearly double the prior Intel model, which was priced at 2,699 yuan, or about $380, with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. That gap reflects the move from an entry-level platform to a much stronger CPU and iGPU combination.

Competitive landscape

Acer is not alone in offering Ryzen 7 8000 mini PCs. Beelink and Minisforum sell competing models, and some competitors include USB4 or OCuLink at similar prices. The Beelink SER8, for example, uses the 8745HS with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD for $159 more than Acer’s asking price. Acer’s advantages rest on its brand and the compact 0.7-liter chassis with dual 2.5G Ethernet, a feature that stands out at this size.

Availability

The Swift Go mini PC line is sold mainly through Chinese retailers. Acer has not announced international availability for the Ryzen 7 8745H configuration, and no pricing or release date for other markets has been provided.
